Volterra: November 2009

In the weekend of  November, 14-15 2009, at the imminent release of the movie in theaters, took place in Volterra the “Waiting New Moon” organized by Twilight Italia in cooperation with the Municipality and the Tourist Office and of course we were ;) . It ‘was a very enjoyable weekend spent with friends and people who share the same passion.

We arrived in Volterra in the late afternoon of Saturday loads and eager to tackle a new adventure that, as usual, proved to be worthy of being lived. Just arrived, in fact, after a quick detour to the hotel we ended up with the staff of Twilight Italia and we began preparations for the evening (just imagine the laughter during rehearsals of the sketches). Once a good point we have reached the inn where we held the dinner hosted by the Tourist Office (again thanks a lot, everything was delicious!). There were a lot of people including some of the dubblers of  Saga’s films: Stefano Crescentini (Edward Cullen), David Chevalier (Jacob Black) and Ilaria Latini (Alice Cullen), really nice.

After dinner was held the “New Moon Party” at the Quo Vadis Pub organized by the Tourist Office and the Volterra events, along with Twilight Italia and with the support of the Volturi Club. During the wonderful evening were improvised two small sketches taken from the Twilight and New Moon parodies writed by Moki77 and staged by herself (who played Bella) and the legendary Alberto (absolutely Volterran DOC, you can see the picture right).

Chiara was the narrator of  Bella and we enjoyed immensely, as well as the entire audience we assure you! The videos below bear this out (sorry for the audio, but in the near room there was loud music and, unfortunately, some jokes do not understand the best ….. we have tried to do all we can of course!)

After the parody, the laughter and the strong spontaneous applauses for the two great interpreters it was the turn of the tournament of Scene It – Twilight Delux Edition involving everyone present, dubblers and fans. Were created four teams: Team Alice, led by Ilaria Latini, Team Jacob captained by David Chevalier), Team Edward obviously headed by Stefano Crescentini and Team Human led by Moki77. The game was fun mainly because was hosted by the fantastic Hullabaloo, so could not be otherwise (SOOOOO SEXY!) Between him and Stefano Crescentini (whose sympathy can be compared PERHAPS only to his wonderful voice) has established a feeling worthy of Edward and Bella ….. their lines and their trade caused bursts of laughters from all present, truly amazing!

Below you will find a small taste of the games (we couldn’t film all but on our You Tube Channel you will find another video witness about the evening.)

The game ended with the victory of Team Jacob, whose members have taken home the New Moon Companion (in Italian, published by Fazi Editore). Soon after the pictures with the dubblers that you see below (a big thanks to Stefano that makes the vampire muahahahahahahah). Even some talk and then all to bed because the next day we still have many things to do …

Sunday morning began with the showing of Twilight at Cinema Centrale, which has continued with the vision of some unpublished contents of New Moon and the reading of certain passages of the books by the three voice actors present (thrills, thrills, thriiiils). The meeting also hosted the Mayor of Volterra, Dr. Capanna of Eagle Pictures and the press officer of the City of Volterra, Cristina Gianesi.
The same event was repeated in the afternoon to allow all the fans have taken to participate.

Here are videos of beautiful readings:

Both sessions were raffled off prizes for the fans, including the Companion, the sweatshirt original “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and two books autographed by Cameron Bright, Charlie Bewley and Jamie Campbell Bower at the Rome Film Festival.

After the screening small quick lunch, a greeting to all friends and return home with a little sadness in the hearts for the goodbye. We renew once again thanks to all those with whom we could share some wonderful moments. Thanks guys!

And a thanks must go to the City of Volterra, the Tourist Office and all those who have worked to made this weekend unforgettable. THANKS!
