The numbers from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2‘s opening day are in, and it has officially taken another Twilight Saga record – this time the Opening Day record previously belonging to The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Harry Potter’s opening day totals reportedly came in at $92.1 million, well exceeding New Moon’s record of $72.7 million in 2009.

This means that HP has also taken the New Moon records for Single Day Gross and Single Friday Gross.

Previously, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallow: Part 2′s midnight sales figures of over $43 million were enough to snatch up the record held by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (which had midnight sales of over $30 million).
